Short version: your payroll and worker data never leave your device.

Files and payroll data

Payroll files you open in Wagesheet, and everything you type into it, are processed by code running in your browser. They are never transmitted to us or anyone else.

Data stored in your browser

Wagesheet does not store worker data; closing or refreshing the tab clears it. If you buy Pro, your license key is stored in local storage (key ws_license) so you don't have to re-enter it. If you use Pro's “Save project”, the project, contractor and certifying-official details, wage rates, plan and apprenticeship notes and the next payroll number and week ending are stored in local storage (key ws_project) until you replace or forget them. No worker names, SSNs, hours or pay are saved. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything.

Downloads

PDF, XML, CSV and Excel files are created on your device.

License validation

If you activate Pro, your license key (and nothing else) is sent to our payment provider's license API to confirm it is valid. When you click a buy button, the site asks the payment provider whether checkout is open (nothing about you or your data is sent).

Usage counts

The site counts page views and button clicks (for example “pricing viewed”) with a first-party request to this same website. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, sends no identifier and never includes payroll data. It is off when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

Hosting logs

Like any website, our host may log standard request data (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

Payments

Purchases are processed by our merchant-of-record payment partner, which handles your payment details and sales tax under its own privacy policy. We never see your card number.
